About Us
JETRO, or the Japan External Trade Organization, is a government-related organization that works to promote mutual trade and investment between Japan and the rest of the world. Originally established in 1958 to promote Japanese exports abroad, JETRO's core focus in the 21st century has shifted toward promoting foreign direct investment into Japan and helping small to medium size Japanese firms maximize their global export potential.
JETRO Copenhagen Office was established in 1963. Since then we have been working persistently to further develop trade relations between Japan and Denmark. In 1998 the activities of the office were extended to Lithuania, and due to the closure of our Oslo office in March 2004, JETRO Copenhagen now covers Norway and Iceland too.
Our office is conveniently located in the heart of Copenhagen at Axeltorv 6, 4th floor. From the airport you can reach the office by taxi in 20 minutes. By train you can go to Copenhagen Central Station in 13 minutes and walk from there to the office in 7 minutes.
