Cando research results

This Cando report is trying to actually clarify what kind of skills to use Japanese is reflected in the JLRT evaluation.
The research had examinees evaluate their own skills in Japanese by five grades: Grade 5 to 1.
The list on the right is averages of self-evaluation results from J1+ to J5.

Evaluation criteria
5: Cando about 80% to 100%
4: Cando about 60% to 80%
3: Cando about 40% to 60%
2: Cando about 20% to 40%
1: Cando about 0% to 20%


* A questionnaire survey was conducted among the 14,634 applicants of the 8th-15th BJT, who were asked answer 40 items concerning their Japanese abilities in listening, speakingand writing.
Upper is the average of each item corresponding to actual score result groupings.
