Score Certificates

Notification of Test Result

  1. Examinees will be sent a score certificate no later than two months after the date of the test. A score certificate will be issued according to the particulars entered in the application form. (Regarding the scheduled date of dispatch of test results, see the Attachment.) If you have not received your results after two months, you must contact the BJT secretariat within four months of the date of the test or you will be charged a fee for the reissue of a score certificate.
  2. Please note that we cannot respond to inquiries regarding the scoring of tests.
  3. Except in instances 1. to 3. described in "Treatment of Personal Data", test results will not be disclosed to outside parties without the written consent of the examinee. In the case of group applications, a list of results will be sent to the group representatives in addition to the test slips sent to examinees.
  4. Please note that we cannot respond to telephone inquiries regarding test results.

Non-Receipt of Score Certificates

If you do not receive your score certificate for any of the following reasons, you will be charged for re-issuance of another.

  1. The name given for receipt of mail was not spelt or written appropriately. (Please write your name in both kanji and roman letters as when you first submitted your application.)
  2. A notice of change of address or forwarding address was not submitted to the Post Office after moving.
  3. The examinee lives with a room-mate and did not write "様方" (c/o) in the address section of the application form.
  4. The building name or room number was not given in the address section of the application form.
  5. The address given in the address section of the application form is not correct (e.g. it does not include the correct block and house number ("○丁目○番地").

Format of the Score Certificate

Score Certificates (issued for a Fee)

  1. If you require a certificate, please request one after carefully reading the procedure for issuance of a score certificate.
  2. A fee of ¥1,000 is charged per certificate issued.
  3. Score Certificates can be issued for only three years from the date of the test.

*The form to be issued will be called the "confirmation of result" for the 12th Test and before, and the "score certificate", for the 13th Test and after.
