JETRO Business Japanese Proficiency Test Gets New Name
The JETRO Business Japanese Proficiency Test (JETRO Test) has been renamed (as of January 2006) as the "BJT Business Japanese Proficiency Test", or BJT, and given a new logo, to mark the test's tenth anniversary. It is our hope that the test, now BJT, will continue to gain international recognitionamong companies and students of Japanese around the worldas a standard test for evaluating business Japanese proficiency.

* In addition, the JLRT, or "JETRO Listening and Reading Comprehension" will become the "Japanese Listening and Reading Comprehension Test", and keep the "JLRT" abbreviation. Similarly, the JOCT, or "JETRO Oral Communication Test" will become the "Japanese Oral and Communication Test", also keeping the former abbreviation, or "JOCT".
- The new name, "BJT Business Japanese Proficiency Test", or BJT, is effective as of January 2006.
- Please note that the name change will not affect the method and content of the test, nor will it have any affect on the validity of official test results (and certificates) issued for past administrations of the (formerly named) JETRO Business Japanese Proficiency Test.
