Support for Expanding into Japan's Regions

Regional Invitation Program
In cooperation with local governments, JETRO invites foreign firms interested in expanding into Japan's regional areas to take part in the Regional Invitation Program. Participants visit factories and plants, industrial clusters and other regional features, and also take part in pre-arranged business meetings with potential local partners. Organizers bear most of the costs for the program, including travel expenses, hotel accommodations, ground transportation and interpreters.

Establishing Offices
JETRO provides foreign firms interested in setting up operations in Japan's regional areas with a range of support and services. JETRO's Invest Japan Business Support Centers (IBSCs), located in six major business areas, offer free temporary office space, access to expert advisors and help with start-up procedures and matters (company registration, bank accounts, real estate, personnel, etc.). In regions not covered by an IBSC, JETRO can provide similar support and assistance, in cooperation with local governments.
