JETRO Kanazawa and Ishikawa prefecture will organize a tour of Kanazawa
area industries to introduce the prefecture's investment climate to
foreign companies and government agencies in Japan. Focusing on the
information service (IT) industry-one of Ishikawa's key industries,
boasting famous researchers and a high level of agglomeration. the tour
will include visits to universities and other institutions and provide
opportunities for business meetings with local IT companies and a chance
to exchange views with the prefectural governor.
The organizers believe the tour will provide a wonderful opportunity to
become acquainted with Ishikawa prefecture's investment climate, and
you are cordially invited to apply.

10:15 a.m. on Feb 20 (Tue), 2007 at the arrivals lobby of Komatsu airport,

Afternoon - Business meetings or Tour of Kanazawa area
(for people from public institutions, there will be
opportunities for exchange of opinions with corporations,
industry participants, etc.)
18:00 - End (at Komatsu airport or JR Kanazawa station)
<Participation fee> Participants are asked to provide their own
transportation to Kanazawa (Komatsu airport or JR Kanazawa station)
*Other costs (accommodation, meals and transportation during tour;

tour which introduces Saitama's advanced technology to

the national research institute of science and technology and
a R&D-oriented company of leading-edge management and technology.

"Saitama Biz Finder -Newsletter-"
The Saitama International Business Support Center (SBSC) will launch an
English-language e-mail newsletter, "Saitama Biz Finder," aimed at
promoting the prefecture's attractiveness to foreign businesses and
organizations in Japan and abroad. The monthly e-mail, available free
to subscribers, is an excellent way to discover new opportunities in one
of Japan's key markets and to stay current with Saitama's business
trends.

* Chiba: Philippine-based IT solution provider launches Japan Operation
A Philippine-based IT solution provider of the Ayala Group, Ayala
Systems Technology, Inc. (ASTI), established a Japanese subsidiary,
ASJ (Ayala Systems Japan), Inc. in November 2006. Business was launched
in Foreign Affiliates Start-up Center (FASuC) operated by Chiba
Prefectural Government. ASTI initially received support from JETRO's
Invest Japan Business Support Center (IBSC) and JETRO Chiba.
