Strength of the region's industries and economy

Miyazaki Prefecture is blessed with a bright and sunny climate, rich water resources, beautiful flowers and lush greenery that combine to make this an extremely comfortable region to live. Located in Miyazaki are numerous companies from the food, beverage and semiconductor businesses that take advantage of the local farming and water resources, while recent years have seen advances by manufacturers of solar panels, flat panel displays and other products. Miyazaki vigorously promotes programs to attract companies to the prefecture, with efforts underway to prepare industrial parks capable of handling large-scale locations of 20 hectares or more, advance construction of transportation infrastructure and make other improvements.
