On November 13, 2008, JETRO, in collaboration with Bioalps and the Geneva Chamber of Commerce and Industry, held an informative seminar on the Life Science sector in Geneva, with a view to strengthen business relations in this field between Switzerland and Japan.

Agreement on Free Trade and Economic Partnership between Japan and Switzerland (October 20, 2008)
On 29 September 2008, Japan and Switzerland confirmed that agreement in principle has been reached on the Agreement on Free Trade and Economic Partnership between Japan and the Swiss Confederation.
