Promoting Thai exports to Japan by inviting Japanese experts for seminars and consultation, by dispatching Thai study missions to Japan to examine the Japanese market and by supporting Thai companies' participation in trade fairs.
Facilitating technology transfers in various fields including supporting industries (SI) and energy and environment by disseminating information in the form of seminars, exhibitions and technological study missions to Japan.
Encouraging Thai-Japanese direct investment by offering consulting services to Thai firms, introducing them to potential joint-venture partners from Japan, and establishing JETRO Business Support Center in Thailand (JETRO BSCT) in 21 July 2000 which provides comprehensive assistance including short-term office space, consultation for Japanese SMEs planning to invest in Thailand during the initial phase.
Fostering two-way communication between Japan and Thailand by inviting Thai opinion leaders to attend seminars in Japan and by circulating JETRO's publications and videotapes to spread information about Japanese trade and industry.
