Introduction to JETRO Bangkok Business Library

JETRO Bangkok has established a business library for persons interested in acquiring general information on Japan especially in the areas of trade and investment, including trading facts, figures, and statistics, as well as marketing information on Japanese products. Japanese importing rules and regulations, market procedures standardization information are also provided in the library.

The library is available free of charge to members of the public. However, users are required to exchange their business cards or identity cards for visitor cards at the reception counter, keep their personal belongings in the lockers provided and switch off their mobile telephones. Please note that a book-lending service is not available because of the limited number of books, which in any case, are for reference purposes only.

Location

JETRO Business Support Center in Thailand & Business Library is located at 1st floor of Nantawan Building, in front of the Rajdamri Sky Train Station (Silom Line) on Rajdamri Road, (location map).

Directions to the Library

From Rajprasong Intersection: Go along Rajdamri Road passes The Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel, Penninsula Plaza, and Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok then turn left to Soi Mahadleklaung 3, Nantawan Building.

From Sala Daeng Intersection: Go along Rajdamri Road passes Chulalongkorn Hospital, The Royal Bangkok Sportsclub, Rajdamri Sky Train Station, then make a U-turn and turn left to Soi Mahadleklaung 3, Nantawan Building.,

Note:
Library visitors can park their cars at Nantawan Building parking lot. However, please note that JETRO Bangkok does not provide a free parking stamp.

Library Hours

Library Hours are weekdays from 09:00-12:00 and 13:30-16:30.

We are closed on Saturday, Sunday, National holidays including Chinese New Year Day, JETRO Anniversary Day (July 25) and December 28 – January 4.

Library Services

Inquiry services via phone, fax, e-mail, on-line form and in person. Library visitors are requested to complete the inquiry form for library references.

Introducing business partners and/or trading firms in Japan and Thailland from various directories including online directories.

Consulting service on investment, import, export between Japan-Thailand.

Introducing JETRO's Internet-based service, TTPP. Users can register their business information with the TTPP system and the system will automatically search for suitable global business partners.

Video borrowing service on various topics such as the Japanese economy, trade, investment, business, and markets, as well as technology. Borrowers are requested to submit video-borrowing letters from their organization to the library staffs. Each organization is allowed maximum of 3 videotapes per week.

Self searching business database on CD-ROM in Thai, English, and Japanese.

Self photocopy and printing service. (2 Baht per A4 Page).

L - Law & Regulations
S - Statistics
T - Tax & Tariff Schedules
M - Magazines and Newspapers

Library materials in each category are organised by both language and area/country.
